Meet the Owner!
First of all, thank you for taking the time to stop by and “meet” me. I love to patron shops where I actually know the owner(s). I feel as if the shopping experience is more meaningful that way.
I grew up in Fishers, Indiana as the oldest of four children. If you ask any of my siblings, they’ll tell you how much I loved playing dress up as a child. So I’m sure it’s no surprise to them that I started this business. In fact, the entire time I was in school, my dream was to become an actress. I pursued acting in college at Wright State University, and then transferred to Ball State University to continue my passion. I achieved an Associate of the Arts on what I lovingly refer to it as my first “tour” of college. After graduating, I went straight into the working world!
I started as an Office Manager at a local chiropractic office in town, and then got married and moved to Naperville, Illinois where I lived with my former spouse. I dabbled in acting a bit with classes I took in downtown Chicago, but my pursuit of an acting career was diminishing at that point. After moving back home after my divorce, I took a job with a new home builder and got a little taste of the housing industry. I liked it, but unfortunately, it was poor timing because of the housing market crash of 2008. I decided to go back to school, and I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Interpersonal Communication at Ball State.
After graduating from Ball State, I moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2010 for a job in radio at Federated Media. I was in sales at 92.3, ‘The Fort.’ After four years, I dove head first back into the housing market, and became a Real Estate agent. During my time as an agent, I discovered a skincare company, Rodan + Fields. As an Independent Consultant I learned that I had a love for business ownership.
Somewhere in between job changes and schooling, I met my husband, Jay. We were married in 2014, and I became a stepmother to two young men. In 2019, we had our daughter, Violet who is our miracle baby.
Throughout my various career changes there’s always been one dream...to own my own boutique. I hope my love of dresses is contagious! Happy shopping!
